Micro Medical Technology

Micro Medical Technology focuses on the development of microsystems (MEMS) and components for medical and biological applications. We develop novel technological solutions to monitor the health status of patients and to support the treatment of diseases.

Our experts are specialized in optimizing existing medical products with microsystems or to develop completely new approaches. Thereby, we are open to all questions related to medical technology.

We offer individual concept and feasibility studies as well as R&D services in compliance with standards in medical device development:

HSG-IMIT offers an excellent infrastructure covering the complete product development process:

• Construction and layout with CAD
• System modeling and -simulation (FEM, CFD, Network)
• (Micro-) mechanical and electronic manufacture
• Measurement technology

Our research and development activities are concentrated on:

• Drug delivery systems
• Integrated microfluidic structures
• Tools for neuroscience research

We cooperate with Prof. Dr. med Dipl.-Ing. Gerd Haimerl of the Steinbeis Transfer Centre Technology and Medicine, Villingen-Schwenningen, for questions related to technical medicine.
