Tools for neuroscience research

Neurodegenerative diseases such as dementia and Alzheimer’s disease represent one of the biggest health challenges of the 21st century. We develop research tools for neuroscientists which allow them to investigate the fundamental processes of the brain and to identify new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.

For this purpose, microprobes fabricated from silicon allow to infuse liquid drugs directly in dedicated brain regions and enable in parallel the electric recording of neural signals.
