Flow control systems
Mass flow controller
Our mass flow controller consists of a control valve which is used to adjust the desired mass flow of a fluid and a thermal flow sensor measuring it with a very short response time. The control electronics compares measured value with set point setting and corrects occurring deviations by adjusting the valve actuation accordingly. Therefore the fluid has to be available sufficiently pressurised. Additionally our system contains a temperature and a pressure sensor enabling it to be also used as volume flow or pressure controller. A major advantage of our system is especially the very short response time.
Controlled dosing system
To precisely and continuously dose fluids from pressureless reservoirs typically dosing pumps are used. An alternative to these often expensive devices is our dosing system. We use an inexpensive membrane pump and measure the mass flow generated by it with a fast thermal flow sensor. The control electronics compares measured value with set point setting and controls the pump accordingly. In our dosing system the pump is operated in its nominal range which is beneficial for its reliability and durability but typically resulting in a too high pump rate. To adjust the required dosing rate of the system, the mass flow of the pump is divided by using a simple valve so that only the desired part flows to the consumer. The excessive part is directed back to the inlet port of the pump.
The systems can be customised to meet application specific requirements.
